Happy New Year to all the Reesor Cousins!

Here we are at the outset of 2004 and it is indeed an awesome time to reflect on our Reesor Heritage, since this year marks the 200th Anniversary of the arrival of Christian Reesor and Fanny Reiff in Canada.  We are very pleased to extend this invitation to you as their direct descendants. Please mark your calendars for Friday July 2nd to Sunday July 4th. Come help us celebrate our ancestry!

REMEMBER there are over 19,000 direct descendants and

we are dependent on your support and co-operation to help.

PLEASE DISTRIBUTE a COPY of THIS LETTTER to ALL FAMILY MEMBERS.

PRE-REGISTRATION is ABSOLUTELY ESSENTIAL!

It will aid the committee in preparing for this event and it will also

ALLOW YOU to AVOID REGISTRATION LINE UPS at the BICENTENNIAL EVENT.

Over the past year, the Bicentennial Planning Committees have continued to work enthusiastically with a mandate to organize a variety of activities that will appeal to the entire family.  To pique your interest and aid you and your family in planning for your attendance at the Reesor Bicentennial, click here to see an outline of the exciting events planned.

Also, remember those GENEALOGY corrections and additions. The Reesor family database is being updated in preparation for a new issue CD that will be available at the Bicentennial.  Many submissions have already been received by Lillian Reesor or via the website. Your contributions were appreciated.

SUBMIT ALL FURTHER INFORMATION either ON LINE (www.reesorfamily.on.ca) or by MAIL by February 29, 2004.

A number of artists and crafts folk within our family have offered to donate of their talents for the SILENT AUCTION.  We would be pleased to hear from you if you are interested in contributing.  Proceeds from the sale of these items will go towards offsetting Bicentennial expenses.

The PRE-REGISTRATION FORM indicates the varied items of MEMORABILIA that we intend to sell at the event. The information you provide is critical for us to adequately prepare for the event.  Our intent is to order only the quantities that will sell on the day of the Bicentennial.  There will be no PRE-ORDERS and items will be sold on a first come first served basis. Memorabilia will be in limited supply and no item will be re-ordered. Quantities ordered will be based on the information that is supplied at pre-registration.  Accordingly, your timely input provides an essential planning tool to us.  Also, to minimize overhead charges, terms of payment will be CASH or CHEQUE only. An ATM will be on site at the fairgrounds.

Once you have sent in your PRE-REGISTRATION, a complete REGISTRATION information package will be mailed back to you well in advance of the July event. This package will include your name badges, further program details, a map etc.

There has been a lot of info to impart in this letter and more will become available in the next few months. Please have a family member visit our website www.reesorfamily.on.ca regularly starting in mid February. The details are still unfolding and it will be important to check the website for current updates.

It is my sincere hope that you and your family will plan on returning to the site of your Reesor Roots and on participating in this Celebratory Event in July 2004!

Sincerely
