The Reesor Origins Index

The Origins Index will help you to determine if you have common ancestral roots with those of The Reesor Family in Canada.
The Origins Index is designed for individuals who, while descendants of Christian Reesor (1747-1806) and Fanny Reiff (1751-1806), do not have their family’s genealogy in the Reesor Book (1980), or earlier editions of our published genealogy. If you are one of these persons, you should also refer to "Lost" Reesor Cousins.
The Origins Index will not help you determine if your family is listed in the Reesor Book (1980). To do that, you must search our Surname Index.

Guidelines for using the Origins Index:

The Origins Index identifies our two "founding" ancestors - Christian Reesor (1747-1806) and his wife Fanny Reiff (1751-1806) - as Generation Number 1. Their children (and spouses) are identified as Generation Number 2, and their Grandchildren (and spouses) are identified as Generation Number 3.
Reesor ancestors in the Origins Index are arranged alphabetically by surname.
If your Web browser has a "Find" or "Find in Frame" menu item you can use it to search for a particular name in the Origins Index.
A relationship designation such as "Sister (in Law)" [as opposed to "Sister in Law"] references (in parentheses) the person’s relationship to Fanny Reiff. In this example, the designation "Sister (in Law)" indicates that the person is Christian Reesor’s Sister, and Fanny Reiff’s Sister in Law.
